THE ROLE
The Brand Manager has a key role in the further development of the Bolsius brand positioning through the achievement of the growth objectives set in the marketing plan. The Brand Manager has a leading role in setting up brand strategy with the goal to strengthen the international market positions and Bolsius profit for the UK and Nordics. He or she has a leading role in consumer communication. This includes the development, coordination and execution of the consumer activation campaigns. The Brand Manager will report hierarchically to the Business Unit Manager International and functional to the Head of Brand Activation.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Brand Manager will act as an owner of the Bolsius brand for UK and the Nordics and knows exactly what the purchase drivers and barriers are to win the heart of the consumers. By working closely together with a multi-disciplinary team you manage to grow the mental and physical availability of Bolsius in an effective and profitable way. He or she will be responsible for development, implementation and monitoring of the guidelines regarding brand- and corporate identity and communication including the Bolsius Values and Culture change program.

You will also:

  • Develop master packaging design for the full brandedproduct portfolio.
  • Piloting the new storytelling in every touchpoint (online/offline) and measure the return of investment and KPI’S with the key defined agencies/partners.
  • Monitor the digital brand channels: oversee all the company's social media accounts, stay updated with the latest technology and best practices.
  • Monitor competitors activities to ensure value proposition and positioning is robust and differentiating.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the annual activation program in cooperation with Category Management, Trade Marketing and Business Unit Managers.
  • Gather consumer insights via market- or desk research and actively uses this in creating innovative media-, marketingand communication strategy for a long term brand growth. 
  • Inform and inspire the rest of the organization about our brands (brand ambassador role), so that we all help to build the brand in our daily work.
  • Initiate and chair (multi-disciplinary) project teams related to brand activities.
  • Manage and cooperate with external parties, like advertising & media agencies.

REQUIREMENTS
You hold a Bachelor’s or university degree focusing on commercial/marketing, and have more than five years of work experience in FMCG and/or A-brand environment. You master brand management & communication, consumer activation and consumer research. You have excellent presentation- and communication skills and have demonstrable experience with successfully coordinating projects. You are multilingual, with English and Dutch, with an international (cultural) scope, and a willingness to travel.

Your competences include the ability to engage stakeholders for the business plans. You are a creative thinker, result-oriented and a proactive self-motivated team player with an eye for detail. You have a good understanding of nuance differences between different cultures within a work area and have a natural feeling regarding organizational sensitivity.
