THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for the demand plan for our business unit Benelux and international markets. The role reports hierarchically to the Business Unit Manager Benelux and functionally to the Team Lead Demand Planning. The two business units drive the branded sales for Benelux and the international markets. Through strong daily functional cooperation with the other Demand Planners and the Supply Planners, the Demand Planner will be part of a team aiming to maximize delivery performance towards our customers, while minimizing total supply chain costs, considering all the risks and opportunities we foresee. It is a role in-between sales, product management and supply chain (supply planning, production and procurement).
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Among the position’s main responsibilities, you will analyze changes in consumer demand and all other relevant data to create the best possible sales forecast for the business unit for all customers and product groups. This sales forecast/demand plan is the basis for production planning and also our financial forecast. You will align on changes in demand with sales, including risks and opportunities, and communicate these internally. You will set up and monitor (statistical) models at SKU level to help optimizing our demand plan. The Demand Planner is part of several operational commercial teams that drive the business. You will be responsible for collecting input from Sales and Product Management and processing this into the Demand Plan. An important part of the demand plan are new product introductions. You will also monitor the related KPIs (forecast accuracy/bias and excess/obsolete stocks) to initiate and drive actions to improve delivery performance towards our customers.
REQUIREMENTS
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Economics, Logistics, Mathematics or Supply Chain Management. You are interested in a career in planning, and are knowledgeable about operational and commercial processes. You are fluent in both Dutch and English, with excellent numerical and quantitative skills (excellent Microsoft Excel skills is a must). You must be familiar with (demand-) planning processes (IBP, S&OP), and with related IT-systems.
