THE ROLE
The Demand & Supply Planning Manager leads the teams of Demand and Supply Planners improving the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process of Bolsius in line with its strategic, financial and commercial goals. The Demand & Supply Planning Manager reports to the Supply Chain Manager and provides hierarchical leadership to a team of Supply Planners (4) and functional leadership to a team of Demand Planners (4).

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of Demand Planning Manager, you are responsible for managing the demand review process within the business units and the short-term demand control between demand and supply planning. Your tasks include monitoring and developing performance indicators, analysing and reporting to control process quality and achieving the objectives of the demand planning process.

In the role of Supply Planning Manager, you are responsible for managing the supply review process and the weekly supply operational planning process. In consultation with other departments, you draw up planning scenarios to support S&OP decision-making on the main production, inventory and commercial issues of Bolsius.

As Demand & Supply Planning Manager, your responsibilities include preparing and supporting the S&OP meeting with the Bolsius Board of Directors, identifying supply risks and guaranteeing optimal communication with the business units and other departments within the scope of the S&OP process. You initiate and lead improvements in planning and planning-related processes, analytics and the OMP planning system, give solicited and unsolicited advice and present data-driven proposals to improve decision-making and the implementation of the one-plan. You are also responsible for mobilising, coaching and training the team aimed at making optimal use of the available systems amongst others.

REQUIREMENTS
The role will suit a graduate with a university degree, preferably in Econometrics, Data Science or Industrial Engineering, with 5-10 years’ work experience in demand and/or supply planning, preferably in a production environment. Extensive experience using an OMP planning system is a bonus. Candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English German is an advantage.

COMPETENCIES
Your behavioural criteria will include good analytical skills, a strategic approach and a helicopter view. The successful candidate has good communication skills and the ability to influence and win support.
