Job
As the Head of Design, you will craft, manage and oversee multiple projects. As a strategic team leader, you’ll be responsible for driving large scale, cross-functional design programs working in collaboration with brand experience, category management and agency partners to develop and execute ideas across all channels. The Head of Design is responsible for leading the Bolsius Company into an irresistible design-led company. Driving style and substance within our brands. Together with colleagues delivering the most beloved offerings that helps people to get more out of candles & home ambiance. The employee hierarchically and functionally reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and leads a designer.  

Job responsibilities
The employee is responsible for leading and driving design efforts for projects and work assignments. Works with brand experience and category management to ensure feasibility of designs, budget, functional needs and overall program needs. You help managing the process to ensure design deliverables and timelines are met. You drive large scale, cross functional design programs working in collaboration with other departments to develop and execute ideas across all channels such as social, website, activations, and in store experience. Next to that you also translate briefs and marketing plans into creative concepts that are clearly articulated in mood boards, interactive prototypes and comps then develop presentations and storytelling vehicles to socialize and gain buy-in on your ideas. Sell-in design concepts to cross-functional teams & stakeholders, senior leaders and to various internal and external audiences with confidence.

Job requirements
You have a strong background in creative design expertise, including products, services, packaging, advertising, in store theatralization and offline/online design. With more than 10 years’ experience within a design company you can lead the Bolsius brands into the right style, social responsible and sustainable. Ideally you have worked with home design brands or fashion brands. You are experienced in international environments, and in a matrix organization. Of course you have passion for design innovation, you are able to understand and translate different brands portfolio positionings (from mass market positioning up to luxury positionings) into style and substance.
