THE ROLE
As (Junior) Account Manager you play a pivotal role in realizing their commercial and financial objectives in the Non-Food Retail and OOH channels in Belgium, Luxembourg and Northern France. Your key objective is to achieve the sales and net margin goals through development of existing and building of new accounts, in line with the defined business strategy.

The (Junior) Account Manager is instrumental in establishing long term partnerships with our customer base (+/-80 accounts) to create added value for both the key customers as well as for Bolsius. The (Junior) Account Manager reports into the Sales Manager BeFraLux.

 

 


 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be an important part of the BeFraLux team, working closely together with the headquarters in the Netherlands. Ensure that all resources are aligned towards the same objectives, while embracing Bolsius Values (Ownership, Care, Trust, Integrity & Passion).
  • Realize revenue and margin growth in the BeFraLux market in the OOH (Horeca), B2B and Non-Food Retail channel.
  • Implement channel plans for both existing and new business. The channel plan consists of the following elements, which are your key tasks:

-         Increasing weighted distribution of the Bolsius brand

-         Optimizing category plans and brand presentation

-         Negotiating price agreements and other conditions

-         Daily reporting of customer visits

-         Participating in trade fairs

-         Ensuring a good presentation on customer shelves

-         Expanding the importance of the candle category through shelf plans, promotions, activations and 2nd placements

-         Getting deals and orders in

-         Making market and competition analyses

  • Contribute to the definition of our medium-term sales strategy and short-term targets, in cooperation with the Sales Manager BeFraLux
  • Be in contact with other departments; Finance, Brand Activation, Customer Service and Category Management)

You work from your home-office (± 25%), combined with a lot of customer contact, for which you travel in the BeFraLux market (± 75%). On average, you spend 1 to 2 days per month at our headquarters in Schijndel (The Netherlands).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, preferably with a master’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the BeFraLux Non-Food Retail and/or Horeca wholesale sector, preferably with branded products
  • Outstanding capabilities to commercially connect with customers and other stakeholders
  • Experience in negotiating with buyers, owners at retailers and other companies in the BeFraLux mass market channel, whilst you also feel at home in their shops and cash&carry’s.
  • Proficient in Flemish & French language (verbal and written), a good command of the Dutch & English language
  • Key competences:

-         Pro-active, flexible & solution oriented team-player, who is culturally sensitive
